THANK YOU SEATTLE!
In May of 1985, Robin Ogaard first opened our doors in a Westlake Ave location as 'Bavarian Surf'. Over the years we've not only changed locations and our name but have evolved the items we carry to better suit our customers wants and needs.
If the walls of Urban Surf could speak, they'd fly through tales of the Windsurfing days, ramble on about Seattle's Rollerblading years, and drop into stories of deep powdered walls filled with Snowboarding gear. Not only would they boast about holding Washington's very first Kiteboarding setups but they'd pull you far downwind into the dangers of that gear they first held and how lucky you are to be in its evolved form.
We wish that these walls could speak because they would tell the most amazing stories of a Seattle we know and a Seattle we knew. Instead, the stories are passed through our community: our customers, our friends, our employees, our neighbors, our families. These stories are passed through YOU!
So thank you for being a part of the Urban Surf family then, now, and in the years to come!
